Paint Webster 2008 - A Plein Aire

Webster Community Arts Foundation & The Monday Club of Webster Groves What is plein aire? The technique of plein aire painting was developed in 19th century France by artists such as Monet, Manet, Degas & Renoir (just to name a few!) The genres that were born from plein aire painting, including impressionism and realism. Plein Aire roughly translates to "painting outdoors". About the Event...On May 10, 2008 artists from around the St. Louis area will be invited to bring their easels and paint brushes for a day of painting images of our beautiful city. Artists must start and finish their paintings between 8am-4pm and report to the Monday Club of Webster Groves for judging. JOIN US... Awards will be announced at the Monday Club
